Built to be used by everyone
Padma Accessories is committed to making padmaaccessories.com usable by as many people as possible, including those who rely on assistive technology. We aim to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA and review the site as we add new pages.
Conformance to WCAG 2.1 AA
We design and build this website with accessibility in mind from the start, targeting Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 — the internationally recognised standard published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). Level AA covers the criteria most websites should meet to be usable by people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, motor, auditory and cognitive needs.
Accessibility is an ongoing effort rather than a one-time fix. As we publish new pages and update existing ones, we test against these guidelines and correct issues we find. If any part of the site falls short, we want to hear about it so we can put it right.

Accessibility features on every page
Practical measures that make the site easier to perceive, operate and understand.
Keyboard navigation
Every link, button and form control can be reached and operated with the keyboard alone, and a "Skip to content" link lets keyboard and screen-reader users jump straight past the menu.
Descriptive alt text
Images carry meaningful alternative text so screen-reader users get the same information conveyed by our photos of boxes, accessories and the plant.
Semantic structure
Pages use proper landmarks — header, navigation, main and footer — with a single H1 and a logical heading order, so assistive technology can present the structure clearly.
Sufficient contrast
Text and interactive elements are styled for readable colour contrast, and we never rely on colour alone to convey meaning. Visible focus styles show where the keyboard is.
Labelled forms
Form fields have associated labels and the menu toggle exposes its state, so contact and quote forms are usable with assistive technology.
Responsive & resizable
The layout adapts to phones, tablets and desktops and remains usable when text is enlarged, so you can read comfortably at your preferred size.
