Padma Accessories Limited is committed to achieving a long-term successful and sustainable business for corrugated box manufacturer and garments accessories products. Our business sustainability on social responsibility in regards to environment, health & safety and employment practice are founded on the following principles which outline our approach to business:

Environment sustainability – At Padma Accessories Limited we aim to appear as an environmentally conscious company on manufacturing process by continuously reduces the environmental impact of our business operations and products.

Health & Safety – At Padma Accessories Limited, we aim to ensure safe working environments by comprehensive safety management procedures.

Employment Practices – we focus to ensure healthy working conditions by not recruitment any child labor, eliminate force labor, zero discrimination, working hours & compensation remuneration and respect human rights and we provide equal opportunity for all.

Business Ethics – we have a strong code of ethics and expect all employees to behave with honesty, discretion, integrity and respect for all parties with whom business is transacted, including customers, suppliers, contractors, agents, etc.

We recognize importance of social responsibility in our business operation and recognizes its obligations to all those with whom it has dealings; our approach to the environment, product safety and how we treat our people, our customers and our suppliers is embedded in our company culture and values.

All Padma Accessories Limited employees, suppliers and contractors are to adopt the social responsibility considerations described in this policy into their day-to-day work activities.

This policy is built on the following areas that reflect and guidelines to help management and all employees to behave appropriately. This policy adopts the principles of international standard SA8000.

  1. Environment Sustainability:

Padma Accessories Limited is committed to reducing pollution on environment affected by our operations. Padma Accessories Limited will provide a safe and healthy working environment, and will not compromise the health and safety of any individual. Our goal is to ensure that our manufacturing processes, facilities, distribution practices and our products have the least possible impact on the environment by reducing the use of resources through savings of energy and recycling.

As a member of the International Business Standards Organization (IBSO), Padma Accessories Limited has integrated key principles of responsibility, ethics, environmental protection as well as economic and social development.

  1. Health & Safety: 

Padma Accessories Limited committed to provide a safe and healthy working environment, and will not compromise the health and safety of any individual. Our aim is to have no accidents and ensure that human rights are respected as per local laws relating to health and safety in the workplace.

All employees are responsible and accountable for contributing to a safe working environment, for fostering safe working attitudes, and for operating in an environmentally responsible manner.

  1. Employment Practice:

We strive to ensure equal opportunity for all in recruitment, selection, promotion, employee development, training and reward policies and procedures.

We also practice following principles in regards to our employees:

  1. We do not engage or support any child labor and we do not recruit below 18 ages.
  2. We do not engage on forced labor to any employees.
  3. We ensure safe and hygienic free working environment to our employees.
  4. We respect rights of personnel form and join association and to bargain collectively
  5. We ensure equal rights and do not tolerate discrimination on gender, ages, religion and race.
  6. We do not allow sexual harassment that includes gestures, language and behavior.
  7. We do not engage to corporal punishment, mental or physical abuse.
  8. We follow industry standard labor laws on working hours i.e. 8 hours per day and 1 day off in every seven days. Any overtime wokrers are reimbursed at a premium rate.
  9. We ensure minimum wages as per local labor laws to all employees.

We employ purchasing procedures that select suppliers on the basis of specification, quality, service and economic factors who operate in an ethical and socially responsible manner and who are committed to minimizing the impact of the environment. 

We are committed to offer customers attractive price and deliver the products to the customers at agreed delivery time. Every employee is regulated to improve quality of our service by our education and training program.

Our employees must at all times treat our competitors with respect and we do not tolerate anti-competitive practice.

All our contracts (i.e. sales or official) are based on fairness and equal treatment as well as financial transaction must be authorized and recorded in every manufacturing and business process.

Review:

This policy is approved by the board meeting annually. The Managing Director is accountable for ensuring that operates in accordance with the policy. The policy is published on the company web site (www.padmaaccessories.com).
